What a choice of beers, especially cold Guinness -- slowly poured from the tap. Not as slow as in Ireland, but really good for America! Good Irish food - Irish Stew, Lamb. Great atmosphere - indoor and outdoor.
Yelp
There it was, the Gypsy's Horse, tucked in the back. Even the name sounded like something you'd find in a storybook ... a place that doesn't quite fit in with it's surroundings, and is that much greater because of it.
This is an Irish bar. Not an Irish-themed bar because there's nothing phony or forced about it. It's a bar, though, that you'd easier find in Ireland or England than here. Dark, dark wood everywhere, old tables, a great long bar, old framed photos and Guinness posters on the wall. Even the tiny "Leprechaun Door" as you walk in doesn't feel cheesy or overdone, just helps to add to the charm.
Everything tasted homemade and it seemed like these were someone's home recipes, mostly because they probably were.
I would love to come back here later for a beer or entertainment (they seem to have something every night of the week, from karaoke to live bands).
