I found the museum to be extremely informational and engaging. I cared very little about the Erie Canal coming in, but learned a great deal about its significance for upstate New York and the city of Syracuse in particular. An interactive area and play area are great for children. The museum does a great job with keeping visitors of different age and interest levels engaged in their exhibits.
