I have gone there since I was a kid. The all you can eat tacos are superb! The tamale spread is my all time fave! Get the tamale spread (half soupy with beans) with cheese, onions and sour cream with a root beer or beer to drink. The chili isn't what one would normally expect because they use the meat for many different things which keeps their cost down. The burrito is also great, but huge! Its a great place for a quick eat for dinner.

My wife lived in the Kansas City Area for twenty-five years and this is her favorite place to dine, so I was not put off by the strip mall exterior or the plain, crowded table arrangements. The chili, made without tomato, is so good that the establishment charges extra for ketchup, because the owners are proud of the taste of their specialty and don't want you to miss it by covering it up! The wait staff, while extremely busy getting seconds, thirds and even fourths on the highly-recommended, all-you-can-eat tacos, are all friendly and positive. They must explain a hundred times a day that you can get your chili dry, soupy or juicy and with or without beans. But they always say it with a smile. History buffs will enjoy the wall photographs and stories of President Harry Truman visiting the restaurant, and later exchanging correspondence with the owners. A KC original and worth the drive.
